Secret Santa is finally a video slot with a Christmas theme that I don't feel was just created to take advantage of the season. Seriously, I loved playing this slot and most of the information below is the reason why. This slot is 5 reels and 1024 ways to pay with 2 bonus features, but as you see below.. you have 7 options to chose from during the Secret Santa bonus.

5 of a kind Again - is an interesting feature which occurs when you get 5 of a kind. When this happens, those symbols will randomly turn to another symbol to give you another 5 of a kind!

Secret Santa Bonus is a randomly occuring bonus. While this isn't a bonus all by itself, it DOES give you the option of choosing between any of the bonus types listed below...

Wild Reels - Pick this bonus to turn up to 3 reels into wilds (the whole vertical reel turns wild). This can increase your wins in a huge way on your current reels. I love this feature selection.

Wild Boost - Pick this bonus to randomly turn a symbol wild. Pick this one if you have several locations where you could have more than 1 symbol turned wild. Requires a bit of a memory to know if it will work for you, but if it does you can get a really nice win.

Free Spins - Pick this bonus for 5 free spins with a 3x multiplier. Not much in the way of free spins, but with 1024 pays it does make it a bit more interesting. With that said.. I rarely pick this option.

Mystery Multiplier - If you know that you have some nice reel wins, then picking a multiplier could be your best route (or safest, anyway) to a nice, big win. I try to recall all reels from memory and when I know I have a good reel win, I will pick this option.

Dashing Wilds - This is a tough one to pick, for me. It does give 4 random wilds (i.e., turns 4 random symbols into wilds) but you don't know where they will land or if they will produce much of a win.. so I rarely choose this one.

Scatter Spree - If I don't have good reel wins to start with, I will often pick the Scatter Spree. It gives a decent chance for a nice win. You will want to know that you have at least a couple of high value symbols in a 3 of a kind situation scattered on the reels for a nice payout.

Rolling Reels - This one is similar to free spins except that it COULD go on for a long time if you are lucky enough to keep getting consecutive wins. As you keep winning, you can increase your multiplier up to 12x. It is both the most volatile and the most rewarding of all the options, IMO.

Summary - The Secret Santa slot is a bit like some of the other more recent Microgaming slots (Immortal Romance, Thunderstruck II)... but I love it. I like that it has a Christmas theme AND has nice new features to have fun with. This is a MUST PLAY slot, IMO. But it is also high variance (medium-high) - so you will want a good bankroll for a decent wager or you will need to lower your wager. You can get lucky of course, but playing for longer periods with this slot is typically how you get that large win.
