I just got finished playing Rival's new slot Silver Unicorn and I have to say - I do like it a bit more than some of the clones Rival has produced lately.
What is unique about this slot? Well, it has a pretty big jackpot with 15000 coins. That is nice (although relatively unattainable).
What you need to do to win: In order to hit a decent win on this slot, you need the expanding wilds (more than 1) and a higher paying symbol. Since there are not many high paying symbols on this slot, the variance is higher. The bonus round nor a single expanding wild will net you a whole lot.
Expanding Wild: Luckily this expanding wild comes frequently. It comes less frequently in pairs and THAT is what you need for a good win.
Free Spins: These are your typical free spins and most likely you will end up with 5 free spins. But there is the possibility to get: 5, 10, or 25 free spins, all with a 3x wins multiplier.
Matching Bonus: The matching bonus round is new and interesting, but still mostly a pickem game. It seems to me that it doesn't really matter what you pick.. it just goes until all matches are selected and you get a prize. My guess is that the prize is pre-determined - which bores me.
Summary: This slot is medium-high variance and plays rather well. I did like the slot as the expanding wilds make a difference in your winnings. While the bonus round bored me after a bit - I still kept playing hoping for the multiple expanding wilds with the big wins. On $2.00 betsize I did win 100x my bet. Not bad.
