Pharaoh's Temple by Felix Gaming is an old school Egyptian themed video slot with five reels, three rows and up to twenty fixed lines. It mixes simple line wins with wilds, scatters and a pick style tomb bonus round.

Layout, bets and basic gameplay

The game uses the classic five by three layout. There are twenty paylines that run mostly from left to right across the reels. All the usual diagonal and zigzag patterns you expect from a traditional video slot are here.

The scarab beetle is the scatter. Unlike line symbols, scatters do not need to follow a payline. Any three or more scarabs anywhere on the reels at the same time will pay a scatter win. This is added on top of any regular line wins from the same spin.

This means even a spin with no matching symbols on lines can still pay if enough scarabs show up. Scatter wins also act as the trigger for the main bonus feature.

Tomb bonus game

Landing at least three scarab scatters in a single spin starts the bonus game. The screen changes to show the inside of a pharaoh's tomb filled with various treasures and artifacts. This is a separate feature from the base game and plays more like a simple pick round.

You are asked to pick from the objects in the tomb one by one. Each pick reveals a prize. These prizes are usually instant coin wins, but they can also include extra picks or other small boosts that extend the round and add more value.

You keep choosing items until you reveal a stop symbol that ends the bonus. All the prizes collected during the feature are then added together and paid at once. Because you can uncover several good prizes in a single run, this bonus is where a large part of the slot's bigger payouts can come from, especially when combined with the base game's solid hit rate.

Volatility and RTP

The game runs on a relatively low volatility math model. In practice that means you see wins fairly often, but many of them are on the smaller side. The ten thousand times cap shows that the very top end is still there, just not as extreme as in high risk slots.
